The Jesus Trail stretches for 40 miles through Israel, tracing the steps of Jesus’ life. From Nazareth (Jesus’ boyhood home) to Capernaum (Jesus’ ministry headquarters), the trail runs through cities, kibbutz, farms, and rural nature reserves.
In 2009, my father (a World Religion scholar) and I hiked the Jesus Trail. Along the way, we conducted interviews with people along the trail and asked the same question, “What do you think about Jesus?” From the perspective of Muslims, Orthodox Jews, secular Jews, Palestinian Christians, and Drews, the responses were varied, sometimes surprising, and often joined by political opinions.
Our project was featured in Christianity Today magazine as an 8-page article and photo essay.
