Ross received an undergraduate degree in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, N.Y. Upon graduating, he has worked as a freelance photographer, taking him around the world and extensively throughout the United States.

Ross is the recipient of a National Geographic Young Explorers grant. His extensive 40,000 mile, fourteen-month project, the American Festivals Project, was acquired by, and is featured on National Geographic.com.

Ross is working on a feature-length documentary about the acclaimed photographer, Sam Abell.

Ross also has an interest in Architecture and Design. His site documenting the work of architects, builders, and designers, may be found at   Roscos Architectural.

Outside of the world of video and photography, Ross is the Director of the Charlottesville Mural Project.
